2025 National Awards

Tigers SERVE Students Earn National Recognition for Community Service

Twelve students from Farmington Community Education’s Tigers SERVE program have been nationally recognized by the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) and InnerView through the 8th Annual Community Service Impact Awards. This program, open to all U.S. students, has been designed to connect student community service activities, skill development, and commitment to the Global Goals to transform our world. The Kroger Co. is presenting the sixth annual Zero Hero Awards to students for taking action to help create communities free of hunger and waste.

Making an Impact

Tigers SERVE students made their greatest contribution in the area of Good Health & Well-Being, logging hundreds of hours volunteering in Farmington and surrounding communities. The students’ service not only supports local needs but also connects to global efforts for positive change.

One standout is Victoria Hamilton, who achieved over 1,000 hours of volunteer service.

“Volunteering through Tigers SERVE has truly shaped who I am, both personally and professionally,” she shared. “It has opened my eyes to the power of compassion, patience, and community, and has deepened my commitment to becoming a teacher. Every moment I’ve spent helping others has fueled my passion to guide, support, and uplift future students.”

Service That Builds Futures

Through this award program, students also build a digital service resume - a powerful tool for showcasing their skills, interests, and community impact on future college and job applications. The program is designed to foster leadership, empathy, and a deeper understanding of global challenges, while encouraging young people to be active participants in their communities.

We’re incredibly proud of these Tigers SERVE students and their dedication to building a better world, starting right here in Farmington.
